Created an internal page at Eins to automatically track badge counts and certifications. Made it easier for our Sales Guy to know what to put in resumes.

Added the greyed out architect pyramid to track certification progress. A visual way to see your journey to CTA.

Things exploded when 10,000 users from India started using the site to track badges taken within certain time frames. Learned a lot about scaling that day.

Added Events and Salesforce Saturdays tracking. Because learning Salesforce is more fun together, especially on weekends.

Added support for multiples of Ranger rank. Because some people just can't stop earning badges. Later added Nonuple, Decuple, and Undecuple.

"Moved Firebase to footer instead, seems to work" - Added Google login via Firebase. Later added Twitter/X.

Added Advent Calendar tracking with Twitter sharing and emojis. 24 badges in 24 days. The holiday spirit meets Trailhead.

"Make sure snow is blue!" - Added snowstorm effect for the holidays. Because why not?

Added Slack notifications so teams could celebrate when someone earned a badge or certification. "Don't mention user on normal badge" - some channels got noisy.

Added Badge Streak to track consecutive days of earning badges. Gamification of gamification.

"We're back without events" - Trailhead changed from public profiles to requiring login. Built an hourly scraper server. The cat and mouse game begins.

"Push badges javascript implemented" - Trailhead locked down further. Created a bookmarklet to let users push their own badge data. If you can't scrape, let users push!

Friendly people reached out when integrations broke. Even Salesforce employees gave heads up about changes. Made many friends at Dreamforce and other conferences. You know who you are!

Python 2.7 reached End of Support. With 4 kids and limited evening time, the migration seemed impossible. Decided to take down the site rather than let it degrade slowly.

With some help from Claude, migrated to Python 3.12 and brought the site back online. Badge sync now uses Trailhead's GraphQL API. The Trailblazer spirit lives on!
